You can filter the answers using the categories below.
All of our generators, distribution and most of our cabling is waterproof. We ask that the final connections, where you plug in, are made undercover.
We generally deliver with a van and trailer. Please let us know if you feel that access will be tight so that we can plan for this.
We typically set up within an hour of arriving on site.
We have Public Liability for the generator and system while it is with you to cover any damage it or we may cause. We ask that you take out insurance to cover the generator while it is with you in case of theft, etc. Typically this will be included within your standard wedding insurance policy or can be added as an extra. We can provide you with any information they require, such as serial number, model number, replacement value, etc.
Once you make an enquiry, we create a project folder for your event. As things are updated or change, we constantly update you project folder to make sure we are providing the best system for you. We understand that coordinating various suppliers means that details will change over time. It is best to let us know when you find out so that we can make sure we have the latest information. We prefer more information than less. Its best to email so that we have a communication trail, but we are happy to chat over the phone if you are more comfortable with this.
Should we feel that as you add or remove the need for power, that we should change the package we have suggested, we will let you know and requote if necessary. It is due to this flexibility that we don’t send over the invoice until around a month before the wedding.
We prefer bank transfer, but can accept card payments over the phone.
All of our wedding packages come with both 16A outlets and 13A sockets as standard. Below are images of the connections we supply. Typically, 16A will be used by toilets and fridge trailers and by some suppliers if they have their own adapters. Most other suppliers such as catering and DJ’s will require 13A.
While a DJ will typically only need a single 13A socket as they use low power equipment, some suppliers such as catering might need more than one socket if they are connecting multiple items. Check with your supplier on how many they need or what they are wanting to plug in.
Along with ensuring you provide us with as much information as possible ahead of the event, we ask that you check the fuel level while the generator is on hire. We provide a full tank of fuel with every hire, but the amount you use the generator will affect how quickly this is used. We can deliver more fuel to site if needed, but we need as much notice as possible.
Ensuring that you have a safe electrical system is our responsibility, but anything that is plugged in once we leave is down to you and your suppliers. We recommend that you request that your suppliers have their equipment PAT tested regularly to make sure their equipment is safe to use.
We operate a 24 hour phone number that is answered directly by one of our Engineers. We will typically be able to talk you through any issues over the phone. Should there be a problem that we cannot fix over the phone, we will immediately dispatch an Engineer to site.
We will set up the generator, connect the distribution and run in the cabling to where you need it. We will show your appointed person on site how to operate the generator and what to do if there is a problem.
We offer delivery any time during the week leading up to the wedding and collection any time after. We operate 24 hours a day 7 days a week with weekend deliveries at no extra cost.
This is a very difficult one to estimate as it is affected by the size of the generator, operating hours and load on the generator. A typical wedding will use around £40-50 of fuel per day.
The first step is to request a quotation. The best way of doing this is filling in the form on our Wedding Generator page. We will get a full quotation emailed over within a day or two.
If you are happy with the quotation, we will start the booking process. We will send over a Deposit Invoice and Hire Agreement. Once paid, the Deposit Invoice secures your booking. The Hire Agreement contains our terms and conditions and details of the event. We ask that you read through and check the details to make sure we have everything right and then digitally sign this to confirm you accept.
Around a month before the event, we will get in touch to see if anything has changed and send of the Hire Invoice. The Hire Invoice is to be paid before the event. We will also request a copy of your Photo ID (driver’s license or passport) and a Recent Utility Bill from the past 3 months.
Once the event is finished, we mark down how much fuel is used and refund the Deposit Invoice minus the fuel used.
